An NSAID used for the treatment of pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis (including arthritis in children), acute gout, and other disorders of the joints or muscles. It is also used to relieve period pains. Naproxen is available, on prescription only, as tablets, enteric-coated tablets, modified-release tablets, a suspension, and suppositories.
