Erythropoletin
A hormone produced naturally by the kidneys that stimulates the production of red blood cells by the bone marrow. A form of erythropoietin (epoetin) produced by genetic engineering is used to treat anaemia associated with chronic kidney failure. Read the rest of this entry »
